Next week, Orlando becomes the center of collegiate sports hosting the flagship conventions of CSCUNITE23 and NACDA. I look forward to catching up with everyone again and presenting the latest updates across NCAA LiveStats and Genius Sports.
This will be the first year of CSCUNITE under the College Sports Communicators name and branding following a shift to better align with the membership’s evolving makeup across communications, digital and creative roles. As a company that looks to drive innovation across all aspects of the athletic department, we’re excited to see this shift and will continue to work with schools to tell compelling, data-driven stories while unlocking revenue, improving performance and engaging fans.
Join us for a panel on storytelling with the Big Ten.
This year, we’ll be evolving our proposition to speak to CSC’s expanding membership. This includes our panel with the Big Ten and Boost. Join us for a discussion on how Genius Sports, Big Ten, and Boost are automating repetitive tasks for school and conference communication staffs while creating data-driven storytelling and insights, allowing college sports communicators to spend more time on creating engaging content.

Awards Season
NCAA LiveStats recently won the College Sports prize at the 2023 Sports Technology Awards which is fantastic testament to the NCAA and Genius Sports partnership. NCAA LiveStats has transformed the NCAA data ecosystem, modernizing stats collection and creating the first ever official source for live data, while unlocking new innovations in coaching, analytics, digital media, and broadcast. Thank you for all the expertise and feedback we’ve received from the CSC community since the launch of NCAA LiveStats for Basketball back in 2018 which made this award win possible.
Looking to the future
Across the hall at NACDA, we’ll be showcasing the latest solutions across Genius Sports’ global business. This will include our augmented broadcasts of the NFL and English Premier League to our bespoke suite of fantasy, pick ‘em and trivia games that are used by leagues and teams worldwide to gamify and enhance fan experiences.
Also on display will be our new Dragon system which automatically captures the most advanced level of data in world sports. Powered by generative AI, Dragon captures billions of data point from every game and creates a full 3D recreation of the ball and each player’s body across multiple sports. This then opens up a wealth of new engagement opportunities for athletic departments including immersive broadcasts, in-venue fan experiences, automated game breakdown, multi-angle viewing and incredibly accurate automated officiating tools.
Swing by booth 824 to see the future of sports technology and experiences.
